Introducing the Radiant Spectrum Red Light Therapy Lamp by Lumiram, a one-of-a-kind target-treatment red light therapy lamp that uses dual-chip technology to provide not just two wavelengths of radiant, nourishing red and near-infrared light but four (630nm,660nm,830nm,850nm)!

660 nm (Red) and 850 nm (Near-Infrared) are industry standard but provide limited bands of penetration. The introduction of 630 to the red band and 830nm to the NIR bands has been found to enhance the activation of Cytochrome C Oxidase, a key driver in the overall systemic benefits provided by RED and NIR light therapy. 

Pulsed wave technology between 10hz-990hz (10 hz increments):

While continuous wave light output yields great benefits, the latest studies suggest that pulsed waves have even more impact on recovery and tissue penetration than continuous waves of light. In other words, pulsed waves of light provide the greatest healing capabilities. 

You may choose between either continuous waves of red light and near-infrared (NIR) light (or a combination of both), or pulsed waves of red light and near-infrared (NIR) light (or a combination of both). 

Brightness Control 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% brightness control of Red and/or NIR light:  For example, you may choose whether you'd like your session to comprise 100% Red and 100% NIR light, 100% Red and 0% NIR, or any combination of intensity you desire according to your unique goals.

Built-in Timer up to 20 minutes. 

The benefit of a timer is to control your dose of light: 10-20 minutes per target area is ideal. We cap our timer at 20 minutes, so you can set your light and forget it, while not overdoing the amount of light you receive per session (a longer light therapy session is not necessarily better). 

We love using light therapy in the morning or after a particularly grueling workout to enhance recovery, but you may choose to use it any time of the day!

How to use

Use in 10-20 minute increments 3-12 inches away from your target treatment area. For maximum effect, use on bare skin. You should feel a soothing warmth, and many people report a feeling of energy as the light takes effect. Relax and breathe as you visualize the concentrated benefits of red light therapy!

Protective glasses are included. It's recommended not to look at the lamp directly with open eyes while in use and to use protective eyewear if using the lamp anywhere near your face/eyes.

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red Light Therapy (RLT), also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), is a therapeutic technique that uses various red and/or near-infrared light wavelengths between the 600 and mid 800 nanometer range to enhance overall well-being by stimulating an increase in the health and function of our cells. It's a concentrated dose of the sun's healing power without any of the blue light and UV light present in actual sunlight!

How does Red Light Therapy Work?

Red light therapy has been shown to create systemic boosts in cellular function that can promote healing, combat pain, and contribute to full-body wellness.

The most well studied mechanism of action surrounding red and near infrared light therapy is increased mitochondrial energy production in our cells. Mitochondria are energy generators of our cells and Red and Near Infrared Light wavelengths interact with an enzyme called Cytochrome C Oxidase, to stimulate mitochondria to use oxygen more efficiently to produce more ATP.

Understanding the wavelengths

Red light comprises the last portion of the visible light spectrum.

Near and mid-infrared light is not visible to the human eye, but instead is felt as radiant heat and holds many benefits for our overall health and the health of our mitochondria, commonly known as the "energy generators" of our cells.

The longer the wavelength of light, the further it can penetrate into the body: near infrared light is ideal for enhancing muscle recovery, while the shorter wavelengths of red light are absorbed primarily by skin tissue and can boost skin health and increase collagen production.
