What is Full Spectrum Light?
Full spectrum light bulbs are designed to mimic the natural light spectrum. Unlike traditional bulbs that emit a narrow and truncated light spectrum, full spectrum bulbs emit light across the entire visible spectrum. How are Chromalux® Full Spectrum Bulbs Different?
Standard daylight full spectrum light bulbs are a different bulb entirely from the Chromalux® line of full spectrum bulbs, which use neodymium glass to filter out yellow and other dulling frequencies of the visible light spectrum, resulting in a beautifully pure and vivid light with enhanced colors and contrast.
Many brands of full spectrum light bulbs out there emit a flat, dull, and lifeless blueish-white light. Not Chromalux®. The light of a Chromalux® full spectrum light bulb is delightfully pure, vivid, and full of color.

Can I use these for SAD?
Absolutely! Chromalux® full spectrum light bulbs are wonderful for SAD. In fact, Chromalux® bulbs are originally from Finland, where many months of the year are spent in darkness. The special technology of Chromalux® full spectrum light bulbs helps people see better and feel better, creating a colorfully pure and natural light that mimics sunlight. For the greatest effect you'll want to use our highest wattage bulbs in conjunction with traditional bright light therapy lamps.
Do full spectrum lights have UV rays?
Chromalux® does not contain UV, but a full spectrum of visible and infrared light.
